WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Ocean safety officials say a shark may have been seen in waters off Waikiki beach Friday but they also believe it's probably already left the area.
Officials called it a "non-confirmed shark sighting" today at Grey's beach, off the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.
To the best of their knowledge, the shark has left the area where it was sighted.
However, they also caution that shark behavior is unpredictable and are known to be in Hawaii near-shore waters.
Officials say if you do see a shark, get out of the water and notify a lifeguard or call 9-1-1.
